Being lead into a second-hand bookshop across town, for god knows what, by a still small voice inside me that I tried to stave off unsuccessfully for a week, and then finding this book, and another perspective than Pirsig on what I then did not know was the 'perennial philosophy' is one of those things that I can never ever forget.
